When you’re feeling miserable or out of sorts in relation to the world around you, it generally indicates your mindset has become overly egocentric. The fastest way to transform this is to put yourself out a bit and help someone somehow. You stop using whomever you’re with as a sounding board for your troubles and instead find yourself wanting to help ease their misery. As soon as you put yourself in service like this, your misery evaporates and you feel back in the flow.
Everyone is suffering. Don’t be fooled by the brave facades. Rather than wallow in your own, help alleviate the suffering of others and your own dissolves of itself – at least for that time.
Alleviation of suffering is the greatest function you have.
Fulfilling your greatest function, you collect the greatest rewards.
Freedom from suffering to you.
