How To Make Yourself Calm

In an increasingly fraught world, it’s naturally darkly tempting at times to join the trend and become fraught like everyone else, to blow things out of proportion and stress yourself over every little detail, but as you’ve no doubt discovered, it doesn’t help you progress towards realizing your dreams in the slightest.

In fact dreams, being the gossamer things they are, tend to respond more effectively to calm.

But how to calm yourself when you’re severely stressed?

Well there are a thousand ways but one that never fails (it takes about 20 minutes from the time you do this for the effect to come on), is to repeat this favorite wee Barefoot affirmative ditty 3 times over: "I choose to feel peace in my heart and my soul, I choose to feel peace in my heart and my soul, I choose to feel peace in my heart and my soul, I choose to feel calm in my body – yeah, yeah – I choose to feel calm in my body."

Then leave it a few minutes and repeat 3 times: "I now feel peace in my heart and my soul, I now feel peace in my heart and my soul, I now feel peace in my heart and my soul, I now feel calm in my body – yeah, yeah – I now feel calm in my body."

When you repeat it repeat it in the most mellifluous, resonant voice you can muster, as calm as a still lake, as smooth as butter and as rich as a billionaire who’s just doubled their money.

If I died and that was the only thing I’d bequeathed the world, I wouldn’t feel hard done by.

Wish: you feel as calm as a still lake, as smooth as butter and rich as a billionaire who’s just doubled their money today.

Love, D
