Riding your cycles

Riding your cycles

Thinking of frequencies, thinking of cycles, because though we tend to forge straight lines out of reality or try to, the universe is circular, in that all is a'spin.

The trick is to keep your mind steady and not let it spin with it.

There are naturally many aspects to this, many of which of course comprise everything I have to offer you but perhaps it all begins with acknowledging what is, or at least what you're experiencing what is as.

At the core of this particular observational strand lies developing enough sensitivity and cognitive awareness to discern all the various cycles underpinning your life.

At the core of this particular observational strand lies developing enough sensitivity and cognitive awareness to discern all the various cycles underpinning your life.

The cycles of day and night, activity and rest, enthusiasm and apathy, confidence and doubt, strength and weakness, aptitude and ineptitude, and (the appearance of winning and losing), once recognized and respected become our allies on the mission.

The mission, incidentally, lest we forget, is to make our contribution while we're here and enjoy the fruits of doing so, to the full. And our contribution – I mean our real contribution – is giving of the true beauty we each carry uniquely in our souls.

When unaware of the cycles of flow subtending our experience we necessarily find ourselves randomly disconcertingly at odds with ourselves, with the world around and so on.

So awareness is key.

But to enjoy awareness at this rarefied existential level, requires situating and settling ourselves just so – not so much in terms of finding a nice tree to sit under whence to gaze at the river flowing by, though that would be pleasant enough, more about situating yourself internally to afford yourself the optimal vantage point, whence to observe proceedings. And settling refers less to unpacking the hamper and spreading out the picnic cloth, laying out all the delicacies, and settling yourself on a tartan blanket ready for a good old outdoor scoff, as to settling your spirit and energy inside your body. And it's incredibly simple to do. A child could do it. A raving lunatic could do it (I know – I've had them do it). But what will make it difficult for you is...yes you.

But if you can get out of your own way for just one moment and just do it, it'll happen quite easily – and provide you a glimpse of heaven on earth style experience, the full unadulterated measure of which comes, for instance, by doing A M P E D and the trainings, and getting yourself into a daily routine.

However far be it from me to ruin a perfectly good moment of anticipation with all that quasi-matronly get-some-discipline talk.

Instead just push back inside into your kidneys. It warms and relaxes them when you push back into them inside.

And push the back of your brain into the back of your skull - you're using the back of your brain to push the back of your skull backwards.

Simultaneously stop holding all the weight of your upper body and head up there – instead let it drop down and settle upon the pelvic floor.

Yet feel the top of your brain urge itself upwards and push the crown of your head upwards from below, as that stops you slumping.

Way up in the front there, soften the middle of your breastbone and allow your internal gorgeousness to emanate, radiate and circulate from there without limit, finding resonance with energy likewise transmitted by others and generating synergy for all.

Attune to the rise and fall of the belly as the breath comes in and goes out in a cycle.

With the cycle of breath as your engine, tell your all-knowing subconscious mind to reveal all pertinent cycles, that you may ride them as they occur, rather than be in opposition to them, and thus benefit by their innate thrust, rather than be scuppered by it.

Your subconscious mind will know what you mean. Tell it Barefoot sent you.

And now Barefoot wishes you great benefit by this wee interaction of ours, and that you find yourself riding your cycles with such great aplomb and everything resolves in such a startlingly elegant way, it's all you can do not to jump up and say, 'by golly, this really is good shit'.
